After that you’ll be able to choose between 6 Gladiator Types. This will be a very important decision because you’ll play under that Gladiator type until you become a free man. Reaching level 15 you can evolve to another type of Gladiator that you could change from battle to battle, until freedom. It will also determine in which attributes you gain more points

BASIC:
1.___ Murmillo: Wore a large visored helmet with a fish on its crest, a leather armor with metal scales on his left arm. He also used metal or boiled leather greave on a least one leg. He used a large oblong shield and Greek-Style sword.
2.___ Provocator: He used a visored helmet and attacked with a lance.
3.___ Retiarius: Wore a loin cloth and metal shoulder piece on the left arm. He carried a net, a dagger and trident or fishing harpoon. Only gladiator without helmet.
4.___ Samnite: Used a large oblong shield and a metal greave on his left leg. He had a visored helmet with a large crest and plume and used a gladius (sword).
5.___ Secutor: Carried a large oveal or rectagular shield, a metal or boiled leather greave on his left leg, a round or high-visored helmet, a leather elbow or wrist bands and a sword for fighting.
6.___ Thracian: Wore a metal or boiled leather greave on both legs, a small square shield, and a helmet. He used a curved scimitar to fight.

ADVANCED:
1.___ Dimacheri: Fought with two swords.
2.___ Equite: Only fought other equites. They arraived at the stadium on horseback. Sometimes a horseback fight ocurred between them.
3.___ Essedarii: The war-chariot fighter. The essadarious fought on foot and probably used the chariot to make a spectacular entrance to the arena. He used a scimitar and a small shield on foot. If fighting from a circling running charriot he used a bow and arrow.

VENATIO:
For our gladiators to gain experience vs. a controlled AI we can offer Venatio. Venatio was the hunt of exotic and rare animals. Here the venator (hunter) would face-off a a variaty of animals. This include:
* Bulls * Elephants *Tigers *Bears *Lions *Panthers *Wolves *Leopards *Rhino

Losers of our gladiatorial games could be sent to a bestiarii show to decide their fate for themselves. Beat the Lion only with a dagger and you'll live. Lose and your are a gonner.
